Many women have grown up in a cookie cutter. They have been limited to certain talents and skills. As if they were set in stone. It can be impossible for some to cut out of this mold and try to be or to build something different. But I say it is do-able and it has been done.
How? The mindset.
It is your superpower. All successful women have reached the top because of their growth mindset. And that’s what sets women apart. One thing that can get us women in this growth mindset is being selective with the people we allow in our space. Anyone from family, friends, partners can impact our mindset and belief system, and even what we perceive as our strengths or weaknesses. So, “hold on to the promises and aspirations you make to yourself and don’t allow anyone to take them away from you”, that’s what I tell my 11 years old daughter. When we raise our daughters in this belief system we are empowering their mindsets and instilling it as a superpower that cannot be turned otherwise.
When you take control, you empower yourself because you are the one who shapes your destiny rather than passively waiting for things to come along. So do it. Decide. Is this the life you want to live? Is this the person you want to love? Is this the best you can be? Can you be stronger? Kinder? More compassionate? Decide and take control.
I learnt a great deal about developing a strong mindset. Emptying my mind of tiring thoughts, walking away from strenuous people, and staying focused on my goal, has been my formula for the past 6 years. And it has been the best 6 years of my life! I found me and I found my purpose in life and what my burning desire is. And only once your mind is quiet, you can challenge the beliefs you hold about yourself, take control and go beyond your limitations.....
